2009-2011: ENRI - European, National and Regional Identity - theory and practice

The 18-months research project was launched in November 2009 and is a collaborative effort of three universities situated in the border region: Partium Christian University, University of Oradea, University of Debrecen. The main objective of the research project is the representative study of identity structures existent in the population of four border counties (Bihor, Satu Mare from Romania; Hajdú-Bihar, Szabolcs-Szatmár from Hungary), using a methodologically and paradigmatically complex approach. The project also aims to develop a common theoretical and interpretative framework for the studies of european, national and regional identities. Funding is from the European Union, European Regional Development Fund (Hungary-Romania Cross-Border Co-operation Programme 2007-2013).
